pen and ink

My interest in pen and ink portrait work began in high school as i lined my notebooks with faces which eventually evolved into larger, more complicated drawings. i find this mediums to be very freeing because i can give the faces as much or as little detail and expression as i want. i create characters and expressions usually inspired by some emotion or conjured up by music. Many of these faces came to me listening to a specific album or artist, so i sometimes honor that by putting a piece of the song into the work.
