i sat above the ocean today
enchanted by the blue
the hue of which
i could never do justice
with words
and i thought of all the lives i’ve lived
and the ones i could have
the way the ripples in the ocean
she’s into one another
and move along the different currents
i could have been swayed in any way
a number of currents pulled me
in different directions
some holding me under
some allowing me to float
and it all led me to this
here
this day above the ocean
the sun shining
the indescribable blue
the past drifting to a far off current
to another land
